You can drive to Honeymoon Island. You cannot drive to the best part of it. After the 2024 hurricane season, a new island formed at the northern tip and finally separated completely from the main island — reachable only by boat.
Guests have found live sponges and other natural finds on shores that very few people have walked. It's genuinely new ground, and that's not a phrase you get to use often in Florida.

Just south through the natural pass

- For guests coming from Dunedin we normally use the Seminole Boat Ramp — it's the closest to you and the most direct route out to Honeymoon and Caladesi. We also run from the Belleair Causeway Boat Ramp, roughly 20 minutes further south, when conditions or scheduling call for it. We'll confirm which one when you book.
- Drive time
- About 15–20 minutes from downtown Dunedin to the Seminole ramp. If we need to use the Belleair Causeway ramp instead, budget closer to 35–40 minutes — we'll always tell you in advance so you can plan the morning.
- Before you head out
- Give us a call or text when you're on your way. It takes ten seconds and means we're watching for you rather than you hunting for us.
- When to arrive
- Fifteen minutes before your departure time. Enough to gather your things and get settled without rushing.
